Denmark

The state, which is located in the South of Scandinavia, Denmark, produces in 1764 coins of silver, 875 samples – speciedaler. Banknotes have impressive size and weight. In translation the name means: sonorous, metal daler.
Minted standard editions of coins: 1 speciedaler, the nominal value of which correspond to 96 skilling. Banknotes are printed:
1. Danish mint (Copenhagen castle), weight: 28.775 g, size: 41 mm.
2. The mint of Copenhagen (Nyhavn), weight: 28,893 g, size: 42 mm.
3. Danish mint (Copenhagen castle), weight: 28,893 g, size: 39 mm.
On the front side of the coin is printed an image of the head of king Frederick V, in a wreath, the right location. The legend is applied in circular lettering and reads: by the grace of God, king of Denmark, Norway, the Wends and Goths, Frederik V. On the reverse: shield in the form of an oval, with coats of arms of Denmark, Sweden, Norway. Crown on top. The shield is wrapped in a chain, with a pendant of the order of the Elephant, and decorated on both sides with decorative Laurel branches, which are crossed from the bottom. At the bottom of the initials are applied mintmaster, who share the date. Around the circle is the inscription, which means: firmness and prudence. That's the king's motto.
All coins have a similar design, minor changes have circular inscriptions.
In 1764, the mint of Copenhagen (the Cellar of king Hans) also mints 4 skilling coins of silver, 312 samples. On the front side: double Royal monogram topped with a crown. In a circle the legend with the motto of the king which in translation means is carried out: prudence and firmness. On the reverse, in four lines, the denomination, the name of the coin, the date of issue, the mark of the mint are applied. The denomination is performed by a Roman numeral.
