Coins 1920

1920 almost immediately noted the introduction in Russia of new coins made of brass with a nominal value of 1 ruble. This is the first trial of coinage, which in the future was to replace all banknotes. Today coins 1920, highly valued because of their rarity.
Also this year were also minted Khorezm ruble – the monetary unit of the Khorezm Soviet Republic. The coin did not last long and was withdrawn from use in 1923.
As for other countries, we can highlight:
1. Stop the minting of coins of type "satellite" in France. Also in the same year was released a new aluminum-bronze franc.
2. The beginning of release of new coins of 10 centimes in Belgium. The coins were chasing the inscription "BELGIE". Banknotes of this type were produced until 1930.
3. Was abolished the silver standard the piastre French Indochina. This was due to the rising price of silver, but next year the situation stabilized and the standard is resumed.
4. For the same cause, the growth of prices for silver has been reduced alloy of this metal in Mexican pesos. Unlike the previous case, after the stabilization of prices standards of coinage did not return.
An interesting period occurred in the United States. After a four year hiatus was first minted double eagle – gold coin of America. In 1916 the issue of this coin was suspended for some reason.
