Nicholas II entered history as the Emperor of Russia. During his reign there was a regular coinage. 1 ruble 1910 was released in a limited edition of 75 thousand copies. Its weight was 20 grams, 18 grams of pure silver 900 samples, the thickness of the coins 2.60 mm and a diameter of 33.65 mm.
Except for 1 ruble in 1910 produced a lot of other coins. So, for example, was released the following copper coins:
- 1/4 of a kopecks weighs 0.82 grams;
- 1/2 kopecks -1.64 grams;
- 1 kopeck - 3.28 grams;
- 2 kopecks - 6.56 grams;
- 3 kopecks - 9.83 grams;
Kopecks made of silver made during the reign of Emperor Nicholas II:
- 5 kopecks - weight 0.90 gram;
- 10 kopecks - 1.80 grams;
- 20 kopecks - 3.60 grams;
- 50 kopecks - 10.00 grams.
Gold coins:
- 5 rubles - 4.30 grams;
- 10 rubles - 8.60 grams.
In 1910, the Russian Empire did not stop production of coins, especially for Finland. They, as well as Russian coin, made of copper, gold and silver. Coins 5 penny made of copper and having a weight of 6.4 grams, was released with a circulation of over 66,000 pieces. A copper coin of 10 penny had a weight of 12.8 grams, circulation amounted to 241 010 pieces. Silver minted 25 pence, and the gold was coin of 20 marks.
No doubt, the mighty Russian Empire was the leader in coin minting, but do not forget about other countries who are also engaged in coin-operated business.
- Britain in 1910 released gold 1 sovereign with the image of Edward VII St. George fighting the dragon.
- The silver coin 3 mark issued in Germany (Prussia).
- Canada was released at the time 1 cent and 25 cents. 25 cents and consisted of 925 silver, and 1 cent was made of alloy of copper, tin and zinc. 1 Canadian penny is valuable because it was released only 16 pieces. Obverse crowned portrait of king Edward VII and on the reverse side the inscription in the centre "ONE CENT" and the year of issue 1910.
