In the issue of coins for Russia, 2008 was a special year. This year, after a long five-year break, the coinage of five-ruble coins was renewed. The remaining coins, in 1 and 5, 10 and 50 kopecks, 1 and 2 rubles continued to be issued, as before, from steel clad with nickel silver, or from a copper-nickel alloy - typical for this time. The only collectible item to date is the 2-coin issue of 2008. But those coins of 2008 have great value, on which, by mistake, the Moscow Mint did not bear their own stamps.
In Cuba, coins of 1 centavo and 1 peso were minted. The first denomination has a legend "PATRIA O MUERTE". Translation from Spanish means the slogan "Homeland or Death." It is applied on the obverse of the coin.
On the obverse of 1 peso denomination is the ship (San Carlos) of San Carlos. The coin belongs to the series “Ships”.
In Palau, a coin was issued from the series Protecting Marine Life. Her face value was 1 dollar. The material used was copper-nickel alloy. The coin was issued in a capsule.
As a kind of 1 dollar coin, its brethren of the Religion and Gold Cards series, Protection of Marine Fauna (gold coins) and Wildlife Protection were issued. In the series "Religion" two coins were issued coins - from copper and from gold.
Of particular interest is the series "The Smallest Gold Coins of the World". They belong to the numismatic product. The coins are made of gold and have exotic shapes.
All of the above Palau coins were issued exclusively in 2008.
In Spain, a generous 2008 coin production crop was granted. Thus, denominations of 10 and 12, 20 and 50, 200 and 400 euros were presented. Moreover, all the coins were minted in several varieties.
