German state

In 1766, the German States replenish the catalogs of coins with new copies of banknotes that will interest numismatists and Amateurs. It is the circulation of silver and copper coins of different nominal value:
- 1/12, 1/8, 1/3, 2/3 thaler, silver, runs mint Kassel (Hessen);
- 1 silver thaler, circulation of the mint Bayreuth (Brandenburg-Ansbach-Bayreuth, Prussia);
- 1 convention thaler of silver, the mintage of the mint of Karlsruhe (Baden macgraphoto-Muzzles);
- 2 copper pfennig, circulation of the Bavarian mint (Munich);
- ¼ copper tuber mint edition of Bonn.
On the front side of the coin, 2/3 thaler, depicts a coat of arms, which is made in the form of an oval shield, crowned with a crown. The shield is divided into 8 parts, each with heraldry symbols:
- The Benedictine Abbey of the cross of the Patriarch;
County Ziegenhain;
- Katzenelnbogen County – lion, which stands on its hind legs, the left direction;
County Dietz – two lions standing on their hind legs;
County of Hanau – shield is divided into 4 parts, in them the County of Hanau chevrons and strips of rinek County. Inside is a shield of the Munzenberg domain;
- the County of Schaumburg, the nettle leaf;
- landgrafstva Hesse – lion, standing on its hind legs, looking to the left, in the center.
In the circular inscription, on the edge of the oval, the inscription is executed, which in translation sounds like a warning of shame for those who thought badly about it. Shield holding lions, looking outside is the mirror image of each other. Decorative frame is made, which is the pedestal for the lions. In the legend, in a circle, are applied: the mark of the engraver, the weight of the coin, motto, year of issue. The motto, in the form of words: meet, located at the bottom, and divides the year into two parts, 17 and 66.
On the reverse side of the currency is a portrait of the 9th Landgrave Friedrich II. Legend: name, title of the ruler, also referred to the divine origin of power. Making signs, the dignity of 1/3 thaler, 1 thaler, similar, slightly different shield with heraldry.
The design of coins, 1/12, 1/8 thaler, different appearance. Heraldic animals such as lions, geometric shapes, emblems and symbols of the ruler are used for decoration.
The name of The money: stuber shtuber or, which is minted by the German States this year, comes from the Dutch silver coins of the stuvers. The obverse depicts the face value, year of issue, the initials of the engraver: IK – Jacob Kohlhass or EG – Elias Gervais. Inscriptions are decorated in a cartouche, made in the form of a cross, with an ornament. On the reverse of the banknote, the value of ¼ stuberg: monogram MF – Archbishop-kurfüst Maximilian-Friedrich Koenigsegg-Rotenfels, crowned.
