Courant Dukat Denmark

In 1757, Denmark issued several circulations of gold coins for domestic circulation. The mint of Copenhagen mints banknotes with a face value of 12 marks. They are called kurundugaha, the gold content in them is less than a full-fledged ducats.
The state began to mint Courant Dukat or Counter Dukat because of financial problems and preparation for the forthcoming war with the Russian Empire. From one brand of 875 samples of gold was supposed to produce 75 coins. The weight of banknotes was 3,118 g, size 20 mm.
Technical characteristics of the denominations of gold coins, which were minted in 1757: sample, weight, size, have the same values, and design – different. One of the coins on the front side is minted profile of the king, the right location. Frederick V is depicted in the portrait in a helmet, with a decorative design. In the circular inscription – the name of the ruler. On the reverse of the coin is printed crown, which occupies the entire surface of the sign. In a circle, the inscription contains information about the denomination – XII, date of issue – 1757.
Another gold coin, 12 marks, differs in the design of the obverse. The king in the portrait is depicted with his head uncovered, with a pigtail. The design of the reverse of the coin is similar.
Another coin, the circulation of which was printed in 1757, differs in the design of the front side and circular inscriptions. The obverse depicts a stylized triangle – in the center, surrounded by evenly spaced symbols: three double signs "F", and three single signs "V". Above the signs "F" are depicted crowns. The reverse design is similar – with a crown, date and face value.
Gold kurundugaha are also called the counting of 12 brands. These are interesting and rare coins that attract the attention of Amateurs and professionals. In the history of Denmark, there were several periods when the government was forced to implement the defacement of coins and to release CurrentDate with different characteristics and design.
