Coins 1738 year of issue

Every year in the world produced a lot of coins, which are minted from different materials. Gold, silver, billon — gold or silver of low standard, copper, zinc and even lead are used. In 1738, eight states printed coins of high grade gold. It:

Danish 1 ducat, Christian VI series, weighs 3.49 g. On the obverse: a double royal monogram. On the reverse: image of the fortress Kristianborg.

In 1738, the Italian states issued two coins, in denominations of 1 ongaro. This is the Italian name ducat. Both coins - Tuscany series, weighing 3.5 g and 3.45 g. No reliable image of a 3.45 g coin - no, only a description is available. On the obverse of coins: the head of Mark III, to the right. Reverse: crowned oval shield, with a central shield inside, framed by twigs. The differences in the design of coins are minor. On a coin of an unknown type, according to the descriptions, the head of Mark III is in a wreath, inscriptions also differ.
Swedish 1 ducat, series Frederick I, weighs 3.5 g. On the obverse: a straight bust of the king. On the reverse: below, in the left corner of the crowned shield - the rising sun. The shield is decorated with sprigs.
Spain in 1738 minted ½ escudo coins, a series of Philip V, weighing 1.69 g. One circulation of coins is printed in the Mint in Madrid, the other in Seville. On the obverse: portrait of the ruler, on the reverse: crowned coat of arms. Coins are marked by a mint mark.
Turkey this year releases three denominations of golden altyn:
- face value 1, weighing 1.2 g;
- face value 1, weighing 3.5 g;
- face value 1 ½, weighing 5,15 g.
Iran prints five denominations of 1 ashrafi coin, weighing:
- 3.48 g;
- 3.5 g;
- 3.5 g, image unknown;
- 11 g;
- 11 g, image unknown.
The Italian states, besides the ducat variety, minted in 1738 a traditional numismatic copy of 1 osello, weighing 13.82 g. The image is known from descriptions.
The Vatican produces 1 scudo, weighing 3.5 g. The papal state also prints two types of coins 1 tsekhin, weighing 3,452 g. Money signs are distinguished by inscriptions around the Pope's coat of arms on the reverse.
