In 1735, the Vatican prints silver coins of 1 Giulio, five varieties. The currency sign was named after the Pope, Julius II.

In 1735 silver Grosso banknotes were also minted. The obverse is depicted on the obverse, and on the reverse is the left bust of St. Paul.
