In 1732, the Italian states minted three times the denominations of coins than in the previous year. This is almost half of all banknotes that have appeared in the world this year. More than half a century Italian workshops were in circulation, from 1280, until the dissolution of the Republic of Venice, in 1797. Exact weight: from 3,494 g to 3,559 g, which has not changed for centuries, and a high test of gold: 23.5 carats, provided confidence in this means of payment. Sequin was used as an international payment instrument in Asia, Africa, Turkey, Egypt, Austria, and even in Malta.
The Venice Mint minted gold coins in 1732, with a nominal value of:
- ¼ cekhina, weighing 0.873 g;
- ½ cekhina, weighing 1,747 g;
- 1 cekhin, weighing 3,494 g;
- 1 cekhin, weighing 3.5 g;
- 2 cekhina, weighing 7 g;
- 3 cekhina, weighing 10.48 g;
- 10 cekhins, weighing 34.82 g.
The obverse of the coin: the image of Jesus Christ in full growth, a circular inscription - a dedication to God, in Latin. The figure of Christ is decorated with a beaded ellipse, with stars. The reverse side: the patron saint of the city, Saint Mark, reports Doge - the ruler of Venice, a banner that has a cruciform shape.
Sequin was minted not only in Venice, but also in Rome, Milan, Florence and Naples.
In 1732, the state of Italy produces trial gold coins. Such banknotes are minted according to the established pattern for the circulation issue. Weight, sample, design corresponds to the required parameters, but for some reason the coin is not released into circulation.
These are the nominal values of trial gold coins issued this year:
- 1 soldo;
- ¼ ducata;
- ¼ scudo;
- ½ scudo;
- 1 scudo;
- 1 ducaton.
In 1732, numismatic copies of a coin with a par value of 1 osella are traditionally minted. These are coins:
- gold, weighing 13.8 g;
- gold, weighing 20.84 g;
- silver, weighing 9.19 g;

Trial and numismatic coins are known in single copies and are of great interest to professionals and amateurs.
