The National Bank of Ukraine, in continuation of a series of commemorative coins dedicated to the monuments of architecture of Ukraine, in 2014 introduced a silver coin with a face value of 10 hryvnia and a Neil silver denomination of 5 hryvnia. They are dedicated to the 700th anniversary of the founding of the madrasah and the mosque of Khan Uzbek. These shrines were built in the 14th century in the area of ​​the city of Old Crimea. Artists in the person of A. Kharchuk, V. Taran and S. Kharchuk and sculptors V. Atamanchuk and A. Demyanenko managed to feel respect for the ancient history of the Crimean Tatars.
On the reverse of both coins is clearly visible the silhouette of a mosque. The general background of the reverse is created with the help of a stylized ornament. The obverse of coins is maintained according to the general requirements of the NBU.
In 2014, Ukraine celebrated the 75th anniversary of the Kirovograd region. Given this event, the National Bank of Ukraine presented the anniversary 5-Tigrivna coin. On the same day she entered free circulation. The coin belongs to the series started to be issued since 2012, under the name “Oblasts of Ukraine”.
