It is authentically known that in 2006 the Bank of Russia stopped the issue of 10 and 50-tonnage brass denominations having a fluted edge. Steel coins clad with brass have replaced them. And their herd was smooth. But in 2013, an unusual copy of 50 kopecks was found. The "old coin" was made on a new blank.
Such a "mix" also applies to the 10-kopek coin, which has a smooth edge, but minted from brass. Both coins are in single copies, therefore, are rare and valuable.
An interesting story is shrouded in a coin worth 1 kopeck of the 2006 issue. They minted both MMD and SPMD. There are about ten varieties of this denomination. And only 1 type of single coinage coinage SPMD awarded special attention. The distinctive features of the coin include the following:
- the bottom leaf has a closed edging;
- on the left curl of the plant is adjacent to Kant;
- the word “kopek” is minted with the letters “E” and “P” arranged;
- PMD stamp has lowered letters. In addition, they are slightly smaller
In 2006, a bimetallic coin with a face value of 2 euros was issued in Belgium and Finland. But the circulation of Belgian coins amounted to 5 million copies, and the number of Finland coins - by almost half less - only 2470000 units.
The obverse of a bimetallic coin worth 2 euros, minted in 2006 by the State of Luxembourg, was awarded a portrait of Prince Guillaume.
The same denomination was released by Italy. 2 euro this year refers to the commemorative coins. It is dedicated to the 20th Winter Olympics in Turin.
The Mint of Greece minted 3 coins in denominations of 10 euros. Two of them belong to the series “National Parks of Greece”. And the third coin is dedicated to the city of Patras.
