It is quite clear that politics and economics are always tightly interconnected. This is easily monitored by such a simple example: the UN General Assembly, in order to draw close attention to global problems of international importance, 1986 was declared the International Year of Peace.
Each state reacted in a certain way to this great historical event. For example, many countries have issued commemorative coins or sets of coins in honor of this event.
As for the USSR, in the country coins of 1 ruble were issued. The reverse of the coin has an image of a laurel wreath and a pair of hands releasing a dove. Below is the inscription "International Year of Peace." Coins were issued 4 million copies, so - it is not rare. But the value of another coin of the same year of production and the same dignity is ten times higher. On it, in the word “Ruble”, the letter “L” is minted in the form of a tent - the type “Λ”, as was established in the minting until 1986. Therefore, a part of the “Hut” coins of this issue are considered issued with an error. It was this mistake that raised the value of this coin. This coin is otherwise called the ruble of the Year of the World - the Hut.
For Italy, 1986 turned out to be fruitful in the issue of issuing new coins. For example, the state issued a set of coins of 11 pieces. Where were listed 3 units of 500 lire, Out of them - 1 was bimetallic, representing a bronze coin in a steel ring. And two silver ones differed in their “status”. One silver coin was called “Ships of Columbus”, and the second was devoted to the great Donatello’s birthday — the 600th anniversary.
The remaining 8 coins were in denominations of 200 and 100, 50 and 20, 10 and 5, 2 and 1 lira.
