From history it is known that interest in coins appeared during the Renaissance. And until today, the science of coins - numismatics - is an excellent hobby of hundreds of thousands of collectors. For them, each coin is its own, special moment of a unique spiral of human development. And the minting of coins is jewelry art embodied in historical events.
So, in 1981 in the Soviet Union, the mint of Leningrad produced the minting of 2 jubilee coins in denominations of 1 ruble. And the next coin, issue 01.07.1981, was devoted to the friendship between the peoples of Bulgaria and the USSR. The obverse of the coin depicts two flags with the heraldry of the Soviet Union and Bulgaria. And below them is a handshake, as a symbol of the indestructible friendship of nations. Below in a semicircle is the inscription "Friendship forever." Total coins were issued 4 million units.
In 1981, the “Friendship Forever” coin was issued in Bulgaria, the nominal value of which was 1 lev. Her obverse has a clear coincidence with the face of the corresponding coin of 1 ruble. On the reverse of the coin its denomination is indicated, and in a circle - the inscription “1300 GODINI BULGARIA”.
The issue of coins by Bulgaria and the USSR was made simultaneously.
Of particular interest is a ruble coin minted on 04/10/1981 at the Leningrad Mint. It is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the first manned space flight. He was a citizen of the USSR Yuri Gagarin. The reverse of the coin contains images dedicated to the cosmic distance, and dates 1961-1981. Also on the reverse side is the portrait of the first cosmonaut dressed in a spacesuit. Below, in a semicircle is the inscription "Yu.A.Gagarin". The circulation of the coin amounted to 4 million copies. The coins were minted from copper-nickel white. The artist and author of the modeling are V. A. Ermakov and A. V. Kozlov
