Coins 1930 edition

This year was the last year of release of silver coins in large quantities. The government planned a further issue of coins from an alloy of copper and nickel, as well as from nickel silver. In 1931 a small batch of silver coins will be issued, which are now rarities.
As in last year’s circulation, of all the coins there are rare copies of the nominal 3 kopecks with the letters “USSR” extended, copied from the obverse of 20 kopecks in 1924, and 20 kopecks with round letters “USSR”, copied from the obverse of 3 kopecks in 1926.
In 1930, coins of the following denominations were issued:
- 20 kopecks, metal - silver, sample 500, weighing 3.4 grams, 2.18 centimeters wide;
- 15 kopecks, metal - silver, sample 500, weighing 2.5 grams, 1.956 centimeters wide;
- 10 kopecks, metal - silver, sample 500, weighing 1.8 grams and a width of 1.727 centimeters;
- 5 kopecks, metal - aluminum bronze, weighing 5 grams, 2.5 centimeters wide;
- 3 kopecks, metal - aluminum bronze, weighing 3 grams and 2.2 centimeters wide;
- 2 kopecks, metal - aluminum bronze, weighing 2 grams, 1.8 centimeters wide;
- 1 kopek, metal - aluminum bronze, weighing 1 gram, and 1.5 centimeters wide.
As can be seen, the coins in terms of weight, size and pattern are similar to last year’s issue, only the year 1930 was minted on them.

- Austria, face value 2 shillings, metal - silver;
- France, nominal 25 centimes, metal - an alloy of copper and nickel;
- Germany / Weimar Republic, face value of 5 marks, metal - silver, rare coin;
- France / French Indochina, denomination 20 cents, metal unknown;
- Cape Verde, nominal 20 centavos, metal unknown.
